Hong Drone III
Acrylic painting on canvas
Hong Drone III arises from an aerial observation of Hong Kong. It is the last part of Hong Drone series. The series Hong Drone is an exercise of mixing of two opposite things, abstraction and figuration. This one can be chosen as the most figurative piece of this series. The artist takes saturated and contaminated cities, places that have become anodyne and overcrowded over the years, and he embellishes them with vivid colors.
Color is used here as a symbol of beauty and diversity, in opposition to the functionality and consistency of today’s big cities.
Hong Drone III was exhibited in Artexpo New York 2018.
