Bedroom in Arles (1888) by Vincent Van Gogh.

This is a painting by Vincent van Gogh that represents the painter’s bedroom during his stay in the French city of Arles, on which he painted three almost identical paintings.

The first, preserved in the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam, was executed in October 1888 and deteriorated in a flood that occurred during the hospitalization of the painter.

About a year later, he undertook the realization of two copies: one, of the same size, is now held at the Art Institute of Chicago; the other, is at the Musée d’Orsay, made for his family in Holland, is smaller in size.
