On my last trip to Bologna, when I went to the International Art Prize Raffaello gala, I could not avoid taking a picture with the mythical Asinelli and Garisenda towers.
These towers, are the only two left of the more than a hundred, which is said, were distributed in the center of the city.
These enormous buildings, with a huge height, were built for reasons of power and they were originally owned by the most important families in the area.
Over time, they became buildings used in different conflicts as “weapons” to attack or defend against enemies and even as prisons.
