The Cold War (1999) by Sandy Skoglund.

The photographs of this artist provoke a magical attraction in me

If you do not know her, it will be enough for you to get a little closer to her work to understand why.

It is a combination of photography, sculpture and installation with truly magical results.

Decades before Photoshop was available, American artist Sandy Skoglund started creating surrealist images by building incredibly elaborate sets, a process which took months to complete.

Her works are characterized by an overwhelming amount of one object and either bright, contrasting colors or a monochromatic color scheme.
